Welcome to my sound recording archive! Some of my favorite videos on Youtube are ambient sound recordings, where someone just records the audio of a location and posts it online. These are not only super relaxing for me, but also interesting. It's cool being able to listen to what someone would hear in an average day anywhere in the world, if that makes sense.
Anyway, below are a few sound recordings of my own, along with short videos I've recorded in the area converted into gifs to give you a visual of where I recorded it. I hope you enjoy!
Spring day on a small hiking trail in Central California. It's warming up here, with the earliest spring flowers blooming, pipevine swallowtails fluttering around, and birds who make their homes in the oak forest bordering a lake.Average Spring afternoon in a Central California suburb! The birds were going crazy so I threw my sound recorder out there. The highway nearby provides a lot of ambient background noise. Frogs kick in during the last few minutes!Central California suburb, but at night. This was also recorded in the Spring. I'm starting to appreciate the constant drone of the highway. Lots of crickets and frogs in this one!
